Oh! You little star,

You twinkle every night

I see you twinkling happily above

With very little light.

You twinkling little star

Take me high above,

High above the rights and wrongs

Anger, hate and love.

Oh! You, nebulous light!

You lighten up my dark nights

Your twinkling means more to me

Than a hello or a smile.

Then I see a little cloud

Flying across the wide sky –

And suddenly you are gone –

Without even a goodbye.

MY IDENTITY 

You may not care for me
For common may I be –
But happy I am in my existence
And happy shall I be.

        Sorrows, blues and heartaches
        I’ve known them all –
        I had my share of laughter,
        Happiness and Love of all.

Some just calls me a madcap,
But a good friend indeed
Carefree and careless are my ways 
But simple and honest in deeds.

        Pretensions and crooked ways
        Are never in my line –
        However much you hurt me
        I’ll always treat you fine.

Life has been great to me
For I’m my parent’s child –
Most of all I’m proud of my being
For –
I am God’s child.

Dying Sunset – June 17, 1984

DYING SUNSET

I had loved thee Sunset

But now, thy sublime charm,

Doth hold no more enchantment for me.

For, the cruel cacophony of heartbreak

Ricochets, ricochets, over and over again.

Thy bloody hue and deepening black Now signifies a dying day –
Time takes its course … --
I bid farewell to one and all –
I bid farewell to Love -- !
